Target Circle Week | What is it and Best Deals
Get ready because Target Circle Week is once again upon us! The semi-annual event is a great opportunity to get some great deals from basically every product category that Target offers.
While the first Target Circle Week of 2024 took place in July, there’s still an opportunity for you to take part. Find out more about the fall iteration of Target Circle Week, when it starts, and how to get the most out of the experience today.
What is Target Circle Week?
Virtually every major retailer has a special sales event that they host every year. Amazon has Prime Day, Wal-Mart has multiple events where the mega store knocks down prices on virtually everything, and Target has Circle Week.
When is Target Circle Week?
Target Circle Week takes place twice each year, and while the first round of sales was in July, the retail giant has announced that the second Target Circle Week of 2024 is upon us.
Between October 6 and October 12, Target customers can get amazing deals on a virtually endless list of products, either in-person or online. The best part about the event is that the discounts are automatically applied at checkout.
Target Circle Week does have some restrictions, though. Most importantly, it is only available to customers who have signed up for Target’s free loyalty program, Target Circle.
If you shop at Target with any regularity, you’re probably already a Target Circle member, but if not, there’s still time for you to get on board. You can sign up for Target Circle at your local Target store, on their website, or through the app.
There’s no cost to join, and it doesn’t involve a monthly subscription, so there’s really no reason not to sign up. The savings that you’ll be able to get in a couple of weeks when Circle Week starts is worth going through the sign-up process.
It's also worth noting that being a member of Target Circle allows you to get exclusive discounts throughout the year, not just during Circle Week. Fill out some basic information and start saving today!
What’s Going to Be Discounted for Circle Week?
One of the most exciting aspects of Circle Week is seeing what Target slashes prices on. Every year, the retailer puts items on sale for the fall version of the event that allows you to get ahead on your Christmas shopping without breaking the bank.
While that looks to be the case again for the October round of savings, there are plenty of other items for you to save on.
Food and Drink
Let’s start with some of the Christmas savings that you can plan on. Target carries a variety of food and beverage options, including some store-brand-specific choices.
Based on the information that’s been released, many of the Target-brand assortments will be available for as little as $5. This is great news for those who are looking to get ahead of their holiday party planning.
Toys and Holiday Items
Hundreds of toys are going to be marked down to $20 or less while stocking stuffers from a variety of departments will be marked down to less than $5.
If you’ve ever done your holiday shopping at Target before (and who hasn’t?), you’ve probably seen the Target Wondershop holiday items. There’s great news on that front because, in 2024, 80% of those items are getting marked down to $10 or less, some of the largest discounts that Target has ever offered on their Wondershop items.
Bulleyes Shop Section
That’s not all when it comes to Christmas savings, though! In 200 Target locations around the country, you’ll be able to find a brand-new Bullseye Shop Section. It’s expected that most of the items in these select locations will be holiday-themed, but the retailer has announced that most of the items found in these sections will be less than $25.
In addition to the holiday-related deals, Target also announced that it’s slashing prices on around 5,000 frequently-purchased items. We won’t know specifics about which items are going to be among that number, but it’s safe to assume that you’re going to find all kinds of items that you’ve been looking for and a few that you didn’t even know you needed.
How to Get the Most Out of Circle Week
As is the case with any of the major sales events that take place throughout the year, it’s important to take a strategic approach to your Circle Week shopping.
While Target has announced the dates for October’s Circle Week, there will probably be other announcements before and during the event. Be sure to sign up for Target emails, and follow the brand on all of its social media platforms.
Not only will they likely drop more details about what’s coming, but you may be able to find out about some special flash sales that take place during Circle Week.
You’ll also want to see if you can stack coupons to get even more savings. According to customers who have shopped Target’s Circle Week in the past, this isn’t always as straightforward as it may seem.
Some items that Target marks down for Circle Week are not eligible for additional savings. Also, some coupons may be marked “not valid with other offers.” Spend some time researching what you’re buying and what types of coupons you want to use, and double up on savings whenever it’s possible to do so.
You’ll also probably want to start early, at least on the items that you know you want to buy. It’s unlikely that a retailer as large as Target is going to run out of much, but when you realize that people around the globe have access to these sales, you’re not only competing with the people who shop at your local Target.
Go into the event with a rough idea of what you want to buy, and try to grab those things first. Go ahead and place your order so you’re sure to get the things that you want the most, which allows you to slow down and browse everything else at your own pace.
Using your Target Red Card is another must during Circle Week. If you’ve ever used your Red Card in the past, you know that the 5% discount it provides is a great way to save. When you take those savings and apply them to items that are already been marked down so much, you’ll be able to stack savings.
Don’t forget to look for bonus offers. Overall, there’s no way to predict when these offers are going to emerge or what they’re going to be on, but Target is famous for sprinkling extra incentives into its biggest event of the year.
If you’re shopping online, which is a great way to get access to the most items, look for a special logo near the top of the page that indicates that an item is eligible for bonus offers.
Maximize Your Circle Week
This is slated to be the last Circle Week until June or July of 2025, so you’ll want to make sure that you’re taking full advantage of it.
Get an early start on October 6, and be prepared to load up on all the items that you want. It’s a great chance to get ahead on some Christmas shopping, but even if that’s not the goal, this is a great chance to save.
