Fisher-Price is recalling more than 400,000 dumbbell toys included in the Baby Biceps Gift Set because the end caps can come off, posing a choking hazard, according to a notice posted by the U.S. consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall involves the plastic toy dumbbell sold with the Fisher-Price Baby Biceps Gift Set. About 366,200 were sold in the U.S. and about 37,850 were sold in Canada. The model number, GJD49, can be found on the kettlebell toy included in the gift set.

The Baby Biceps Gift Set was sold at Walmart, Kohls, Fred Meyer, Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, TJMaxx, Buy Buy Baby and Target stores nationwide, and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Zulily.com, Target.com and other websites from April 2020 through August 2024 for about $18

The recalled dumbbell toy features a gray bar with orange and red plastic weights on each side. The weights are held on by gray end caps, which can come loose. Fisher-Price has received seven reports of the ends coming off the dumbbell, but no injuries have been reported.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dumbbells and take them away from young children. Consumers can visit www.service.mattel.com/us/recall.aspx for instructions on how to upload a photograph of the dumbbell toy and how to properly dispose of it. After confirming the dumbbell will be disposed of, consumers will receive a $10 refund for the dumbbell only, and they can keep the rest of the gift set.
