Do you believe in miracles? If you're a Yankees fan, you just might believe now.

Down 3-0 in the World Series after a dull offensive performance the Bronx Bombers showed up for an 11-4 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4, forcing a Game 5 at Yankee Stadium.

This dramatic comeback keeps the Yankees' and their fans' World Series dreams alive.

Yankees Avoid a Dodgers Sweep

The Yankees entered the Fall Classic with high expectations, stacked with a strong offense led by Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. However, their hits were minimal in the first three games against Dodgers pitchers. New York managed only seven runs in that span.

However, Game 4 witnessed a much-needed offensive run from the Yankees. Rookie, Anthony Volpe started off their run with a grand slam in the third inning, turning around a 2-0 Dodgers lead and shifting in New York's favor.

The Yankees continued with run after run, with hits from Gleyber Torres, Aaron Judge, and Juan Soto giving them a greater chance to beat the Dodgers.

In a move that backfired, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts rested his starting pitchers, relying on a bullpen game throughout Game 4. While his strategy appeared to be successful at first, the Yankees caught the momentum they needed.

Despite facing an explosive Dodgers lineup throughout the series, the New York pitching staff has held its own. Gerrit Cole will start Game 5, hoping to repeat his dominant performance from Game 1. The Yankees bullpen will also need to step up and deliver in front of their home crowd.

The Pressure is on in L.A.

While the Dodgers were likely expecting an easy Game 4, the narrative has shifted. The pressure now falls on the Dodgers, who missed their chance to clinch the title in New York.

With their bullpen taxed and Clayton Kershaw potentially unavailable for Game 5 due to back tightness, the Dodgers will really have to step it up.

A rematch awaits in Game 5 as Gerrit Cole takes the mound for the Yankees against Jack Flaherty for the Dodgers.

Their first encounter in Game 1 resulted in a tense 1-0 Yankees victory, hinting at another low-scoring pitchers' duel. The outcome of the World Series could depend on which team's offense can capitalize on limited opportunities.

The Curse of 3-0 Down

No team in Major League Baseball history has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit in the World Series. The only team to come back from 3-0 in any MLB series were the Boston Red Sox in 2004 in the American League Championship against the Yankees. But with their never-say-die attitude, the Yankees remain hopeful despite the odds.

Returning to Yankee Stadium for Game 5 gives the Yankees a big advantage. The loyal and loud Bronx crowd will surely provide the energy their team needs and might just shake the Dodgers enough to secure them another victory.

This World Series run has been a rollercoaster for the Yankees, with early offensive struggles and a late-series outburst.

With a championship within reach, the pressure is on. A Game 5 victory would propel them into the history books as a team that defied the odds and etch their names in Yankees lore. However, a loss would leave them just short of glory, proving the 3-0 comeback curse right.

How to Watch World Series Game 5
