New York Giants (2-7) vs Carolina Panthers (2-7)

9:30 AM ET | NFL Network | Giants -6.5

Key Giants Storyline:

The Giants have dropped their last four games, but they’re still the favorites in this one. A loss here could spell the end for Brian Daboll in the Big Apple.

Key Panthers Storyline:

Jonathan Brooks is expected to make his debut this weekend. It will be interesting to see if the offense shows signs of a life with a new weapon.

Key Stat:

Daniel Jones has been sacked 27 times this season, which ranks fifth in the NFL. If the Giants can’t protect him, the Panthers may pick up their second straight win.

Bold Prediction:

This game will be the lowest scoring game ever played in Germany, including last year’s 16-point game between the Colts and the Patriots

Fantasy Tip:

If you’re going to start someone from one of these two teams, Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. is a good choice based solely on volume.

Betting Tip:

The O/U is 40.5. This game may not even crack 20 total points. Take the under.

Score Prediction:

Giants 7, Panthers 6

New England Patriots (2-7) @ Chicago Bears (4-4)

1 PM ET | Fox | Bears -6.5

Key Patriots Storyline:

Rumors have been swirling about Jerod Mayo’s job security in New England. A loss here could turn hit hot seat into a bonfire.

Key Bears Storyline:

Several clips online showed DJ Moore walking off the field during a play last week, leading to speculation that he isn’t happy with rookie Caleb Williams. It will be interesting to see how the two work together this week.

Key Stat:

The Pats haven’t had 300 yards of total offense in their last seven games, matching the franchise’s longest streak since 1992-93.

Bold Prediction:

Drake Maye will get sacked more than four times.

Fantasy Tip:

The Bears’ offense will want to squash any potential drama between Moore and Williams. Look for DJ to be targeted early and often.

Betting Tip:

The Patriots have covered the spread in their last two games. Chicago will probably win, but it probably wont’ be by seven or more.

Score Prediction:

Bears 20, Patriots 16

Buffalo Bills (7-2) @ Indianapolis Colts (4-5)

1 PM ET | CBS | Bills -4

Key Bills Storyline:

Will Amari Cooper play? If not, the Bills may have to turn to a run-heavy game plan as Keon Coleman will miss this game.

Key Colts Storyline:

The Colts announced that they were sticking with Joe Flacco at QB after Monday night’s game, but if he struggles again, the team may go back to Anthony Richardson.

Key Stat:

The Colts first nine games have been decided by one score.

Bold Prediction:

Amari Cooper will play and record one touchdown and at least 70 receiving yards.

Fantasy Tip:

Even if Cooper plays, James Cook is in position to get a lot of work in both the passing and the running game.

Betting Tip:

The Colts are 4-0 against the spread at home in 2024.

Score Prediction:

Bills 31, Colts 20

Denver Broncos (5-4) @ Kansas City Chiefs (8-0)

1 PM ET | CBS | Chiefs -8

Key Broncos Storyline:

Denver got utterly destroyed against Baltimore last week. Now, they face another potent offense on the road.

Key Chiefs Storyline:

Mahomes threw three picks and got sacked five times against the Broncos in 2023. He’ll look to rebound on Sunday.

Key Stat:

Bo Nix leads rookie QBs in touchdowns this season when you include rushing and even receiving scores.

Bold Prediction:

Steve Spagnuolo will dial up some exotic blitzes, resulting in Nix being sacked five times.

Fantasy Tip:

Stay away from Javonte Williams this game. The Chiefs’ defense is good, and the Broncos may be playing from behind.

Betting Tip:

Denver has yet to cover the spread against a team with a winning record in 2024.

Score Prediction:

Chiefs 31, Broncos 17

Atlanta Falcons (6-3) @ New Orleans Saints (2-7)

1 PM ET | Fox | Falcons -4

Key Falcons Storyline:

When these two teams played in week four, Atlanta didn’t score an offensive touchdown. They’ll likely get it figured out this week.

Key Saints Storyline:

The team fired Dennis Allen following last week’s loss to the Panthers and traded CB Marshon Lattimore. It’s a rebuild in New Orleans.

Key Stat:

The Saints only have six passing touchdowns this year and are now with Chris Olave.

Bold Prediction:

Darnell Mooney will have two touchdowns against a depleted Saints’ secondary.

Fantasy Tip:

Bijan Robinson is poised for a huge game, especially if Atlanta gets up early and looks to milk the clock late.

Betting Tip:

Games between NFC South teams have averaged 58.7 points this season. Bet the over.

Score Prediction:

Falcons 34, Saints 23

San Francisco 49ers (4-4) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5)

1 PM ET | Fox | 49ers -6

Key 49ers Storyline:

Christian McCaffery is expected to make his season debut. He’ll be on a snap count, but his return is huge for a struggling 49ers team that’s fighting for a division title.

Key Buccaneers Storyline:

The Bucs are coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss the Chiefs. How will Baker Mayfield and company respond?

Key Stat:

Tampa Bay comes in on a three-game losing streak during which they’re giving up 34 points per game.

Bold Prediction:

Nick Bosa records two sacks in the game thanks to the matchup with Luke Goedeke.

Fantasy Tip:

It’s tempting to start CMC in a favorable matchup. He likely won’t get the volume of touches that you want to see in his debut.

Betting Tip:

Baker Mayfield has never covered the spread as a home underdog, and he’s unlikely to start Sunday.

Score Prediction:

49ers 28, Bucs 17

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) @ Washington Commanders (7-2)

1 PM ET | CBS | Commanders -2.5

Key Steelers Storyline:

The team just traded for Preston Smith from the Packers to try to solidify the defense, a unit that will have a tough test come Sunday.

Key Commanders Storyline:

Washington made a move to improve its defense, too, grabbing Marshawn Lattimore from the Saints. He’ll make his debut Sunday.

Key Stat:

Washington hasn’t turned the ball over in its last four games, it’s longest such streak since 1933.

Bold Prediction:

The Steelers also grabbed Mike Williams at the trade deadline. He won’t have much of an impact Sunday, recording two or fewer receptions and no touchdowns.

Fantasy Tip:

Najee Harris should get a lot of work at Pittsburgh tries to keep the Commanders offense off the field.

Betting Tip:

Washington has covered the spread in every game when they’re favored this season.

Score Prediction:

Commanders 27, Steelers 23

Minnesota Vikings (6-2) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (2-7)

1 PM ET | Fox | Vikings -7

Key Vikings Storyline:

The Vikings are only one win away from matching last year’s total. This is a great matchup for it.

Key Jaguars Storyline:

Trevor Lawrence is battling a shoulder injury that may keep him out of action. If he can’t go, Mac Jones will get the start.

Key Stat:

The Vikings’ defense has 13 interceptions this season, the most in the league.

Bold Prediction:

The Vikings defense will add two or more picks to that season total if Mac Jones starts.

Fantasy Tip:

QBs aren’t always the heavy hitters, but Sam Darnold faces a Jaguars’ defense allowing the most fantasy points to QBs this season.

Betting Tip:

Jacksonville probably can’t stop this Vikings offense. Take the Vikings giving the points.

Score Prediction:

Vikings 34, Jaguars 17

Tennessee Titans (2-6) @ Los Angeles Chargers (5-3)

4:05 PM ET | Fox | Chargers -7.5

Key Titans Storyline:

Will Levis is slated to return from injury, meaning Tennessee will likely be able to run its typical offense.

Key Chargers Storyline:

J.K. Dobbins put up more than 100 yards and two scores last week against a solid Browns defense. He’ll look to go off again against a much weaker Titans D.

Key Stat:

Though flawed, the Titans have only allowed one QB to pass for 300 yards this season, and that was Josh Allen. In fact, he’s the only QB to throw for more than 250 yards against Tennessee.

Bold Prediction:

Justin Herbert will break 250 yards but will come up short of 300.

Fantasy Tip:

J.K. Dobbins is a must-start this week.

Betting Tip:

The Titans are a league-worst 1-7 against the spread this season.

Score Prediction:

Chargers 27, Titans 17

Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) @ Dallas Cowboys (3-5)

4:25 PM ET | CBS | Eagles -7

Key Eagles Storyline:

Saquon Barkley has never been on a team that beat the Dallas Cowboys.

Key Cowboys Storyline:

The Cowboys will be without Dak Prescott who is out with a hamstring injury. Cooper Rush gets the start.

Key Stat:

Dallas has won its last 10 games against NFC East opponents.

Bold Prediction:

At least two different Eagles’ running backs will score a touchdown.

Fantasy Tip:

DeVonta Smith has put up 18 points each of the last two weeks and is poised for another big game this week.

Betting Tip:

Dallas is 0-3 against the spread over the last three weeks.

Score Prediction:

Eagles 30, Cowboys 16

New York Jets (3-6) @ Arizona Cardinals (5-4)

4:25 PM ET | CBS | Jets -1.5

Key Jets Storyline:

With only three wins on the season, every game is a must-win in New York. A loss here all but eliminates them from playoff contention.

Key Cardinals Storyline:

Arizona has won three in a row and is in the mix for the NFC West.

Key Stat:

Arizona has the second-worst defense in the league on third down, allowing teams to convert roughly 49% of their third down attempts.

Bold Prediction:

DJ Reed will record one interception on the day.

Fantasy Tip:

Kyler Murray is looking to bounce back from his worst fantasy performance of the year. Start him.

Betting Tip:

The Jets are 0-3 against the spread when they’re underdogs this season.

Score Prediction:

Jets 21, Cardinals 19

Detroit Lions (7-1) @ Houston Texans (6-3)

8:20 PM ET | NBC/Peacock | Lions -3.5

Key Lions Storyline:

The Lions have cemented themselves as the class of the NFC, and they’ll have Preston Smith involved this week after trading for the veteran.

Key Texans Storyline:

The Texans are 1-2 against teams with winning records this season, a trend they need to turn around sooner rather than later.

Key Stat:

The Lions haven’t been 8-1 since 1954.

Bold Prediction:

Preston Smith will pick up a sack in his Lions debut.

Fantasy Tip:

Tank Dell should face some favorable matchups this week.

Betting Tip:

People who bet the under are 4-0 in Texans home games this season.

Score Prediction:

Lions 24, Texans 20

Miami Dolphins (2-6) @ Los Angeles Rams (4-4)

Monday, 8:15 PM | ESPN | Rams -1

Key Dolphins Storyline:

Devon Achane had a great game last week, but he’ll face a tough Rams defense. The Dolphins need to get the ground game going early to control the clock.

Key Rams Storyline:

Demarcus Robinson has become a vital part of the Rams offense, and the WR3 may be in line for a huge day against a questionable Miami pass defense.

Key Stat:

The Rams have scored a defensive TD in their last four games. Only two teams have ever done it in five straight, the 1952 Rams and the 1994 Raiders.

Bold Prediction:

Matt Stafford will pass for 280 yards or more.

Fantasy Tip:

Jaylen Waddle should see some favorable matchups this week against a Rams defense that gives up the 11th most point to opposing wideouts.

Betting Tip:

The Dolphins are 0-8 outright in their last eight games in which they were the underdog.

Score Prediction:

Rams 31, Dolphins 28
