Kevin Hart's Hart House Restaurants Shut Down After 2 Years

Kevin Hart Announces Closure of Hart House Restaurants | Hart House

Kevin Hart's vegan fast-food chain Hart House has closed all four Southern California locations after just two years in business.

Hart, 45, announced back in 2020 that he had made the switch to a mostly plant-based diet, and began working with Hart House CEO Andy Hooper to develop the restaurant concept, which included developing its own proprietary plant-based chicken and beef burger patties.

The first Hart House location opened in Los Angeles in August 2022. On Wednesday, the restaurant chain posted a "Hartfelt goodbye" on Instagram.

"Thank you," the restaurant wrote alongside a photo of stacked sandwiches. "To our team, guests, and community, who helped make the change we all craved. A Hartfelt goodbye for now as we start a new chapter."

Hooper confirmed to Eater Los Angeles that Hart House has indeed closed.

“The response to the product has been incredible, and we thank our committed team, our customers, and our community partners for helping make the change we all craved, and for their unwavering support of Hart House,” Hooper told the outlet.
