However, because August 1st falls on a Saturday, the August SSI payment will be issued early on Friday, July 31st. That means eligible SSI recipients will receive their July benefit on July 1st and their August benefit on July 31st.
Although both deposits will arrive in July, the second payment is an early August benefit, not an extra check.
Who Will Receive Two SSI Payments?
Only people who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are affected by this calendar change.
If you receive retirement, survivor, or disability benefits, your payment schedule will remain the same and follow your birth date or benefit start date.
