Tyler Cameron and Tate Madden Expecting a Baby Girl, Reveal News on 'DWTS'
Tyler Cameron is going to be a dad. The "Bachelorette" alum and his fiancée, Tate Madden, revealed they are expecting their first child together, a baby girl, during an emotional moment on "Dancing With the Stars."
The couple shared the news Tuesday night on Dedication Night, after Cameron performed a heartfelt routine honoring his late mother and moms everywhere, ABC News reported.
A Dance for Mom
Cameron and his pro partner, Sharna Burgess, performed a contemporary dance to Ed Sheeran's "Supermarket Flowers," a song about losing a mother.
The routine was dedicated to Cameron's mom, Andrea, who died in 2020 after a brain aneurysm, as well as to all mothers. Cameron has been open about how much his mom meant to him, and losing her led him to move back home to Jupiter, Florida.
The Dedication Night episode asks each celebrity to honor someone special in their life, and it often brings some of the most emotional moments of the season.
"I Get to Be a Girl Dad"
After the dance, Madden joined Cameron on the ballroom floor for the big announcement. Host Alfonso Ribeiro then helped with a surprise gender reveal as pink confetti rained down.
"I get to be a girl dad. What a gift, what an opportunity," Cameron said on stage, Just Jared reported.
The couple has not publicly shared a due date.
The news is extra meaningful given the night's theme. Cameron honored his late mom just moments before revealing he is about to start his own family.
How Tyler and Tate Met
Madden, 33, is a photographer and model from Jupiter, Florida. She and Cameron first met in 2022 when she was shooting photos for his home renovation show, "Going Home With Tyler Cameron."
"It started off we were just working together," Cameron has said, according to AOL.
Fellow Bachelor Nation star Jason Tartick, who was an investor in a property featured on the show, noticed their chemistry and encouraged Cameron to ask her out. "Jason tried to set us up," Cameron said.
The pair had their first date in September 2023 at a steakhouse in West Palm Beach, Florida, to celebrate Madden's 30th birthday. They went Instagram official in September 2024 with a video of the two dancing together, and they live together in Jupiter.
Cameron proposed on a beach at Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys, and the couple announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 15 of this year.
Madden has also been one of his biggest supporters during his time on the show. Earlier this month, Cameron told the New York Post that she had been coaching him to bring more passion to his dances with Burgess. "Touch her. Touch her leg. Do what you're supposed to do in the dance. Don't be a prude little middle-schooler," he recalled her saying, according to EntertainmentNow.
From "The Bachelorette" to the Ballroom
Cameron first became a fan favorite as the runner-up on Hannah Brown's season of "The Bachelorette" in 2019. Before reality TV, he played college football at Wake Forest and Florida Atlantic and briefly signed with the Baltimore Ravens before a shoulder injury ended his football career.
He now runs a home construction and renovation business, which is featured in his Amazon Prime series "Going Home With Tyler Cameron." The show, which also follows his renovation of his late mother's house, earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2025. Cameron is currently competing on Season 35 of "Dancing With the Stars."
