Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte Is Coming Back Sooner Than You Think

Fall is arriving early at Starbucks. The chain announced its Pumpkin Spice Latte will return to menus nationwide on Aug. 25, kicking off the coffee giant's annual fall lineup alongside several new seasonal drinks.

The PSL, first introduced in 2003, has become an annual marker of the unofficial start of fall for millions of customers each year. This year's return date falls roughly in line with when Starbucks has typically brought back the drink in recent years, the chain launched its fall menu on Aug. 22 in 2024, Aug. 24 in 2023, and Aug. 30 in 2022.

What's New on the Fall Menu

Alongside the returning Pumpkin Spice Latte, Starbucks is introducing several new drinks this year, including the Iced Pumpkin Cream Shaken Espresso, Pumpkin Spice Chai, Iced Pumpkin Cream Matcha, Iced Banana Bread Latte and Iced Banana Bread Chai. The new lineup also features the Chaider, described by the company as "a cozy, cider-inspired take on chai," which can be ordered hot or iced.

Returning favorites include the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, Pecan Cortado and both the Iced Pecan Crunch Latte and Pecan Crunch Latte.

On the food side, Starbucks is adding a new Chicken Bacon Protein Pocket and a Hedgehog Cake Pop to its lineup, while the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin returns as a seasonal staple.

Merchandise and Where to Find Pumpkin Spice Sooner

For fans eager to mark the occasion, Starbucks will also release a limited-time PSL Society merchandise collection featuring themed drinkware and apparel.

Customers who don't want to wait until Aug. 25 have other options in the meantime. Starbucks said many of its pumpkin spice flavored products, including creamers and ready-to-drink coffee beverages, are already available in grocery stores nationwide ahead of the in-cafe launch.
