Over 26,000 Amazon Dressers Recalled Over Tip-Over Hazards
A dresser isn't something we tend to think about once it's assembled, filled with clothes, and tucked against the bedroom wall.
But, if you bought a fabric dresser online in the last few years, it's worth taking a closer look. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced two separate dresser recalls involving more than 26,000 units sold through Amazon and Walmart.
The dressers can become unstable when they aren't anchored to the wall, creating potentially deadly tip-over and entrapment hazards for children.
Why These Dressers Are Being Recalled
Both recalls involve fabric dressers with metal frames that don't meet mandatory federal safety requirements for clothing storage units.
According to the CPSC recall notices, the dressers can tip over when they aren't secured to the wall. A child could become trapped or seriously injured underneath it.
Both products also violate the mandatory safety standards required by the STURDY Act, which established stability requirements for dressers and other clothing storage units.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with either furniture recall.
Check Your Amazon Dresser
The Amazon recall involves about 10,040 Romorgniz 12-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold exclusively through Amazon from May 2025 through March 2026 for about $90.
The dressers have 12 fabric drawers and a metal frame and were available in:
White
Brown
Black
They measure approximately:
55 inches long
31.7 inches tall
11.8 inches wide
Only orders placed before April 1, 2026, are included in the recall.
If you own one of these dressers and it isn't anchored to the wall, stop using it immediately, disassemble it, and move it somewhere that children can't get near it.
Check Your Walmart Dresser
The Walmart recall involves about 16,809 EnHomee 9-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold through Walmart.com by Raybee-Direct.
These dressers were sold from September 2023 through March 2026 for about $80. They have nine fabric drawers and a metal frame and were available in:
White
Brown
Gray
Black
They measure approximately:
47.2 inches long
27.5 inches tall
15.3 inches wide
Only orders placed before March 30, 2026, are included in the recall. Again, if your dresser isn't anchored to the wall, stop using it immediately, disassemble it, and keep it out of reach of children.
What To Do Next
If you own either of the recalled dressers, you can receive a full refund.
If you have a Romorgniz dresser, contact the company for instructions on identifying and disposing of the affected product. You'll be asked to submit a photo via romorgnizrecall@gmail.com, showing that you've disposed of the dresser before receiving your refund.
